Taylor N. Savas

MA, LPC, BCN, CSC, CDWF

Qualifications:

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and am Board Certified in Neurofeedback. I have a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio located in San Antonio, Texas. I am a Certified Daring Way Facilitator and continuously learn new treatment modalities and interventions.

In 2016, Archway, funded by The Henry Foundation and the Kidd Foundation, opened a secondary office providing counseling and neurotherapy services as a non-profit organization.  This non-profit provides funding for discounted session fees.  Archway Outreach was established to address a variety of therapy services to children and their families. I am privileged to provide counseling and neurotherapy services at this location and offer the opportunity for reduced session fees, according to the financial and therapy needs of the client.

Philosophy of Counseling

I strive to provide an open, safe, nonjudgmental space for my clients.  I promote and facilitate self-exploration, problem solving and goal setting. I help clients understand and process their experiences and resolve underlying issues. My training in The Daring Way has equipped me to work extensively in shame and vulnerability and its affects on our daily lives. I believe clients are experts on their lives but may need new skills or tools as well as guidance and support to better navigate issues they encounter. As a talk therapist I use many treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I believe therapy can provide positive interventions which help clients embrace wholehearted, genuine, fulfilled lives. I am excited to integrate neurofeedback into my work and look forward to providing the most effective therapy for clients.
